This family-run bakery has gained a huge following by utilising more traditional processes to create mouthwateringly good breads, pastries, and cakes. There are now no fewer than 18 venues throughout the country, from Donegal and Mayo to Galway, Longford, Mullingar, and Athlone. Our work took us to the bakery’s HQ in Sligo.
The O’Hehirs team came to us to discuss replacing an old legacy system. The HPE servers that they had been using for some time were approaching end of life, and a new IT environment was needed.
We highlighted strengths and identified gaps & vulnerabilities. We explored how different solutions could help them to work more flexibly, more securely, and with more confidence. Following a consultation, we suggested Azure Virtual Desktop, and O’Hehirs Bakery agreed it was best for their business.
We also advised the bakery to consider a Microsoft 365 Business Premium implementation. This would enable their team to work more productively and efficiently, while also maximising digital security and ensuring complete data compliance and protection. The team fully agreed.
The on-premises file server was replaced by Sharepoint Online, and the ERP app server with Azure Virtual Desktop, along with the existing time & attendance solution that was already in place.
